IC-15 Radio Modem

Accurate real-time data transmission is as simple as the IC/MT-15ME series of wireless radio Modems. Open field line of sight range is about 1 mile for the IC-15ME (1/2 to 3/4 mile for the MT-15ME) with standard stubby antennas. Range is extended with external antennas.
This extremely small size, light-weight, reliable transceiver is easy to set up, operate, and maintain. This unit is normally used in fixed applications and is powered from an external power source.

Operating Information

Data is transferred synchronously over the radio link at 2400 or 4800 bps (depending upon model).
Communication is over a single channel, so throughput depends on the length and frequency of messages for each remote unit.
Modem operation is Full Duplex, baud rates up to 19200.
Hardware flow control (DTE RDY/DTE CTS).
Software control (XON/XOFF).
Data format 7 or 8 bits, 1 or 2 stop bits - odd, even, mark, spade, or no parity.
Interface is X.3 PAD (Packet Assembly and Disassembly) or Multidrop.
